Free legal counseling is provided to Johnson
County seniors as a service of the Johnson County legal
community and the Senior Center. Johnson County residents 50 years of age
and older are encouraged
and invited to schedule an appointment with a volunteer attorney by
calling the Senior Center at 356-5220.
Volunteer Attorneys will not do wills, but they will look over a living
will or health care power of attorney. The
volunteer attorneys do not provide the forms. People can obtain them by

The Senior
Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP) is a program of the
Iowa Insurance
Division.
SHIIP offers guidance and advice to Medicare-eligible seniors who have
questions or concerns about Medicare coverage,
supplements, claims filing and other items.
To make an appointment to speak with the SHIIP advisor, please call the
